Mandy Scott from the ACT Bilingual Education Alliance has provided a link to an interesting video about language development in bilingual children –

‘Helping your child learn two languages: a new multilingual resource to help parents make the most of this very important stage of their child’s life.’

The video was developed in NSW and is available in 5 languages: Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Nepali and English. It was produced in response to the findings from the 2012 and 2015 Australian Early Development Census which identified that there was a need to promote consistent key messages to service providers and families to improve language and communication development in bilingual children prior to school.

Video can be downloaded from the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) channel here.
