Mighty Movers CBR #6 – Balancing Act

Did you try Soccer Skittles this week with your playgroups or early childhood families?

Our latest Active Play Idea is #6 Balancing Act. Good balance increases a child’s confidence in activities and play like jumping and hopping.

Mighty Movers is a project of the Bluearth Foundation, delivered in partnership with ACT Playgroups Association and supported by ACT Health. We hope it helps you and your families Move More, Sit Less.  You can follow Mighty Movers on Facebook fb.me/MightyMoversCBR and “Like” this idea there too. Or, if you’d like to join the Mighty Movers online program simply:

  • send an email to nsadlier@bluearth.org with the subject ‘Mighty Movers’, and
  • include your name and the age of your child/children.

Bluearth will send you a bit more information about the program, and then each week you’ll be sent an active play idea that’s easy to set-up at home or your playgroup – using items that can be found mostly around the home.

If you have any questions about the Mighty Movers program – please email Nicole on nsadlier@bluearth.org

Mighty Movers CBR #5 – Soccer Skittles

Did you try Ice Smash this week with your playgroups or early childhood families? Did the kids like it?

Our latest Active Play Idea is #5 Soccer Skittles. This is a fun group activity and such a great way to re-purpose plastic bottles from your recycling bin.

Mighty Movers CBR #4 – Ice Smash

Mighty Movers CBR has been Bubble Chasing it’s way across Canberra this week – what fun! How did your bubbling go with your playgroups or early childhood families?

This week is Active Play #4 – Ice Smash. We’re yet to meet a child that doesn’t enjoy this activity. It’s an ideal way to celebrate the cold Winter season, and ice works for all ages.
