Paint and Play groups are larger, drop in style playgroups that:

  • mostly run outdoors
  • operate during school terms
  • are suited to children from birth to 5 years of age
  • are generally supported by a network of community organisations
  • are free – although your gold coin donation is much appreciated!

There is no need to book to attend Paint and Play sessions. As such, you may or may not meet the same families from week to week. You might like to join a community playgroup if you are looking for a smaller, more intimate playgroup that meets indoors.

Paint and Play groups operate in various locations around Canberra. For a list of these groups in the ACT, click here.

The Boundless Friendship Activity Program for children of all abilities is a fun activity session run on at the Boundless Playground in Kings Park near the carillon on the first Friday and the third Sunday of the month. More information about this Paint & Play can be found here.

The ACT Paint and Playgroup Facebook page also provides updated information about Paint and Play, including cancellations due to weather, and photos of some of the fun activities.
