They are held outdoor during the school term so depending on the season bring
either your warm winter coat or you broad rimmed sun hat. We encourage families
to recognise that outdoor play is possible in most weather and to dress
accordingly.
Paint and Play Playgroups provide a dynamic variety of activities that cater from ages 0 -5 including our much-loved painting easels, playdough, puzzles, art and craft, books, gross motor play and a variety of other resources. Each session concludes with group songs where children and adults are encouraged to request their favourites and sing along.
Paint and Play Playgroups are facilitated by friendly, enthusiastic developmental staff, who work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive space for all. Some families attend on a regular basis and others just drop by when they can, as Paint and Playgroups are held all around Canberra, they are a great way to meet other families in your local community.
As Paint and Play Playgroups are held outside, on the occasions of bad weather, we may need to cancel a session. Our Facebook page, ACT Playgroups Association, posts cancellation on the morning of the Playgroup.
Paint and Play is free to attend, thanks to funding provided by the ACT Government.
