We are looking for people to join the ACT Playgroups Board as Directors, including someone who would nomnate for the role of Treasurer.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a passionate team and help develop and shape an excellent opportunity to join a passionate team and help develop and the strategic direction of ACT Playgroups, monitoring compliance with policies, financial and legal requirements, ensuring good governance, and representing the organisation in the wider community.
ACT Playgroups welcomes applications from current or past members of ACT Playgroups, and we encourage applications from First Nations peoples, people living with a disability, LGBTIQ+ people, people who have come to Australia as migrants or refugees and veterans. Previous Board experience is not essential.
Those appointed would need to be able to commit the necessary time to satisfactorily meet their responsibilities (estimated time commitment is Board meeting attendance to be held every 6 weeks, as well as the occasional meeting in between and other Board and commitee work).
All Directors of ACT Playgroups are engaged on a volunteer-basis.
