ACT Playgroups delivers several programs aimed at supporting all families
to engage and experience the benefits of Playgroup.
ACT Playgroups delivers a program called PALS, which aims to provide
support for families with additional needs to participate in mainstream activities.

Our PALS playgroups are:

  • Music and Movement, held every Wednesday during the school term at the Old Scullin Preschool
  • Nature Play, held every Friday during the school term at Kambah Adventure Playground

ACT Playgroup Staff are also able to work with you and your family, and individual playgroups to be inclusive of all families. ACT Playgroups staff can provide practical advice, information, and resources. To access staff support, contact the team on toll-free 1800 171 882

PlayConnect+ groups are open for children with disability and/or developmental concerns
aged 0-8 years, their families, carers, and siblings. The whole family is welcome.

Who can attend:

PlayConnect+ groups are open for children with disability and/or developmental concerns aged 0-8 years, their families, carers, and siblings. The whole family is welcome. There is no diagnosis required. All sessions are facilitated by qualified professionals and are tailored to the needs of the families attending.

The PlayConnect+ Program is FREE and includes:

  • Weekly face-to-face sessions of a supported Playgroup
  • Online Playgroup session weekly (from late May)
  • Facilitation of transitions to other educational settings to support school readiness.
  • Holistic family support including information and advice about other disability support services which we have partnerships with
  • Access to Music Groups delivered by a Music Therapist
