ACT Playgroups has been delivering early support programs in the Canberra area for over 10 years.
The program includes PlayConnect+ Playgroups and PALS Playgroups.
The Early Support Program is delivered by qualified staff with
support from local therapy-based Organisations.
There are changes coming to the Early Support Program for 2024. Our current session times and locations are as listed.

PlayConnect Plus Playgroups
PlayConnect Plus Playgroups are facilitated playgroups and Parent Peer Support Groups for families with a child, aged between 0-8 years, with a disability or chronic medical condition.
PlayConnect Plus Playgroups gives parents and familities the chance to socialise and share ideas with others who understand the rewards and intensity of the caring role. Parents and families meet with people in similar circumstancs who can understand their children’s achievements and help with the challenges, to have fun, and find out what community support is available.
Children will have the opportunities for both free and structured play activities including music, gross and fine motor activities, sensory play and stories.
Your child does not need a diagnosis to attend and siblings are welcome
A plan or referral is NOT required to attend the early support playgroups.
These playgroups run independently to the NDIS.
